2013

Destination Storytelling Through Strategic Partnerships

In collaboration with China Airlines, Smileviet curated a cross-Vietnam familiarisation journey for Taiwanese KOLs, designed not as a media tour, but as a destination-led storytelling experience.

The program combined overnight cruise experiences, urban culture immersion, and dynamic city exploration including Vespa routes through Ho Chi Minh City to reveal Vietnam through movement, rhythm, and lived moments.

2015

Introducing Vietnam Through Taste

In 2015, Smileviet collaborated with Paradise Luxury Cruises to introduce Vietnam’s northern culinary heritage through a destination-led experiential event.

Renowned chefs from Paradise’s five-star cruise operations were brought directly to Taiwan, where signature Vietnamese dishes such as Phở and Nem Rán were prepared live. Guests were able to engage with the cuisine not as a performance, but as a living expression of Vietnamese culture.

This initiative demonstrated a different way of promoting destinations:

not by showcasing services,

but by allowing culture, taste, and experience

to speak for the destination itself.

2017

Reframing Cruise Luxury
on the International Stage

At the International Travel Fair (ITF) Taiwan, Smileviet introduced Paradise Elegance Cruise in its new form — marking a significant shift in how Halong Bay cruise experiences were presented to the market.

elevating standards while reinforcing Halong Bay’s status as a world-class maritime destination.

The launch represented more than a new product showcase. It signaled a transition from traditional wooden cruise concepts to a modern steel-built vessel, redefining expectations of comfort, safety, and contemporary luxury in Halong Bay.

This moment reflected Smileviet’s role in supporting partners through change, helping new directions in design and experience be clearly understood, valued, and embraced by the market.

2018

Positioning Quang Ninh
as a New Era Destination

In partnership with the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, Smileviet participated in destination promotion activities across Northern and Central Taiwan, during a pivotal period of transformation for the province.

from Van Don International Airport and major tourism developments, to landmark attractions such as Sun World Halong Complex, Nu Hoang Cable Car, and the reimagined Yen Tu spiritual destination, including contemporary cultural spaces such as the Bin Besley–designed gallery.

Rather than presenting individual projects in isolation, Smileviet helped frame Quang Ninh as a multi-layered destination — combining leisure, culture, spirituality, and modern infrastructure.
